Kelly Brandon was trying to sell me a 433 engine he just happened to have. I told him they came in 2 colors, grey or light blue. Depended on the age. He picked grey and I called him a liar as they were orange or black or yellow.

Luckily not run across scammers here myself but do not post much for sale or looking to buy.
That said there are scammers Literally Everywhere in this world, unforgiving and unforgivable.

every single time I've put up a parts wanted ad, one of the scammers lurking around has contacted me. Wish there was a way to filter out people who don't belong here, like Dr did by having them choose an answer to a small quiz. FB groups do something like that.

There's an Amy Lee Hanchett who scammed me via an ad I placed on this site a few years ago. She has my money and my tire. I'll forever be more cautious because of her.

I wish new members could not send private messages until they had a minimum number of posts. I think that would weed out some of these criminals.

Thanks for the heads up guys! I was just emailed by JayJohn. I'm looking for a pair of rear fenders for my WF, and JayJohn directed me to Kelly Brandon who is an "honest" man....... So much for that lead uh? Must be like Batman and Robin the dynamic duo!

Most of these scammers have ZERO POSTS.... If your legit and join the Forum, you should post who you are and what kind of tractor you have. A little data and history would be good. Would not be hard to have 10 posts in a month or so..... I think that would weed out a lot of the scammers... I dont think 10 posts would be a major problem for ANY new member, if they are really Serious about being on the Forum............ If you actually HAVE some equip for sale, then make a couple posts telling everyone about it and how you acquired it... If your looking to BUY equip, then post what you got and why you need MORE....... That dont seem very Hard to me..
Its not bashing "NEW MEMBERS".... its call SKIN IN THE GAME.

In agreement with Steve(ill) I have thought it would be nice to have a place in the member profile to put what you have for equipment and what you do with it. I realize a lot of the regulars on here know each other outside the forum, but some of us are a long way from other forum members, and that might add a little familiarity.
