Is the transmission, rear end and most other parts the same for a 180 gas and a 180 diesel?

98% of One-Eighty tractors were the same be they gas or diesel engines. The throttle linkages were different. The air cleaner tube over the radiator was different. The muffler hole in the hood was different. There wasn't a manifold heater relay on gas engines. Fuel lines from the tank to the carb or fuel filter were different. Wiring harnesses were different. So, the long and short of it is switching from gas or diesel to the other isn't hard at all but some minor changes need to happen.

I have a chance to buy a 180 gas that has a good transmission. I have a 180 diesel I bought several years ago with a bad transmission. I am hoping to use the transmission from the gas tractor for the diesel.

Thanks Dr!!!
