I hear there is a coolant filter without additives that fits the Allis engines. Is this a myth or truth? Switched my 301 to red antifreeze and filter is closed off. Would prefer not to remove it just put a plain filter on it. Any help appreciated.

There is also a filter for the ELC, NAPA 4088 or Wix 24088. Different chemical package.
