 Not sure how many of you run an 82S sickle mower but I always lay my sickle support rod at the edge of the field as I enter the field to mow. I often thought of a way of carrying it with me so I wouldn’t have to go back to the same spot to lift the mower to transport. Sometimes I could have exited the opposite side of the field. While performing a repair this afternoon, I walked by the rear of my D17 and it hit me. I opened up the snap couplers, grabbed the rod and it fits perfectly in the slots. Snapped the covers down and it’s nice and snug. Put the wing nut in the tool box. Mowed for 2 1/2 hours and it never moved. | Depending on the bar and support rod it should hook in the slot on the lh side of tongue and the bolt through the angle on lh axle gusset with the nut to the rear. I think only one of mine actually fit there though |

| Mine is an 82T but am going to investigate this! There is probably a place to stow it somewhere on the machine. Lift arm latches another good possibility. |

With no weight on my lift arms they stay up when I lower the mower. I don’t think it would be an issue even if they were down. Worked great for me and I would think it would work for a trail mower also. Thanks Wes! Drove by your place around 1:30 coming back from Harrisonburg. The herd of AC looks great at your farm. I know these Buda diesels can be a hard to get parts for but so far she has been rock solid. Ran around 180 degrees sickle mowing yesterday, some pretty steep hills climbing up. I love running it. With tricycle I go up and turn around on the flat and come straight down on the steep areas. Man you know it’s been miserable!! Never heard of this area so I will take a look tomorrow. Cool that AC thought of that but they failed to mention it in their mower manuals. At least I’ve never seen it.
