I know the 430G was made for a G combine, but will it fit an F 3 combine? Thanks Anthony |

| Sorta....I think they used totally different drive setup and it takes a different throat which I think is just a bolt in swap.Do-able but you need all the different parts. |

| I was thinking an "F-G" 430 was easily adaptable to both model "F' or "G"........look at it. If the claws on the top have another set of attachment holes that are narrower, it will hang on an F-F2-F3. Then you relocate the lock tangs down below to the narrower setting and it should lock in place. Align the drive sprockets to line up to a model F and you should be in business other than maybe some side filler plates at the feerhouse. If you cannot easily re-locate the upper claws....you're on your own. Parts to retro-fit easy to find??? you'll have to find a junk CH somewhere....nothing new available anymore. |

Some of the orange heads were FG, too. This allowed them to be used on either combine by moving the attaching hooks and sliding the sprockets on the shafts. Orange heads aren't very valuable, and they made a ton of them, so you should still be able to find some parts. That said, most dealers and salvage yards have started sending them to recycling as they aren't in demand and they need the space for something more productive. ------------- The innovators offer what others will imitate. |

Anthony, your head is earlier than the ones we have been suggesting. The later orange heads had large cast "paws" that sat over top of a pipe on the combine and were made to fit several models of combine. Your head will need extensive work to change it over. That plus the fact that it still has steel-detachable gathering chains instead of roller chain I would strongly recommend looking for the correct head for a G. ------------- The innovators offer what others will imitate. |
