This is a new one on me; I have seen a lot of equipment and I never before heard of this brand.

Doosan DX225LC Trackhoe w/Rock Drill
Owned by Best Line Equipment

https://ibb.co/q3cYJfb6" rel="nofollow">

Sitting near the top of Goose Creek Hill East on the North side of KY Hwy 80
37.109550°N  84.986292°W  Elevation  913'

Typical of rural Kentucky, he has parked with the Rock Drill on top of the Bucket in hopes to prevent Meth-head scrap-iron thieves from stealing that big heavy bucket; that would scale out a lot of dollars.

As best I can decipher, Doosan is a Korean company that owned the popular Bobcat Loader company.

Hyundai bought out part of Doosan but not the part that builds construction equipment; however, in all the confusion, to add even more confusion, all Doosan equipment is now branded Develon.

That is actually a hydraulic "hammer", or commonly called "breaker". Yes, Doosan is a S. Korean conglomerate and they own many things. Ingersol-Rand portable air compressors are owned by Doosan since about 1992.

The way the "house" on the Case is leaning left, I would guess that unit is ready for serious repair of the turn table or the slow boat to China. Cry

Do you know the difference between a Shovel and a Hoe ? ; a Shovel - this machine - is PUSHED into the dirt, digging away from the source of power, whether it be man or machine; a Hoe - Trackhoes, Backhoes, and a Gooseneck Garden Hoe - is PULLED into the dirt, digging toward the man or machine - think about it.

Although this looks like a Steam Shovel, it is not powered by Steam; instead, it derives it's power from a standard https://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/004/6/8/4685-farmall-regular.html" rel="nofollow - .

Other than the absence of tires and wheels, the entire Farmall Tractor is right there.

Began in 1925 as the Wilford Shovel Company - Henry Ford's younger brother, William, hence the "Wilford"

I ?think? the Wilford Shovels were powered by a Fordson Tractor instead of a Farmall.

Name changed to Universal Power Shovel in 1927.

In 1928, bought by https://www.unitforgings.com/about/" rel="nofollow - , retaining the Universal Power Shovel name.

In 1937, Unit Forge sold the Universal Power Shovel division.

if I remember correctly, a lot of the Cases had a self leveling system like most tree harvesters do. Probably leaked down over time

Thanks for that. I never heard of a leveling in anything other than combines.

The fuel tank Buck pointed out is shaped like a Cat fender mounted tank on D2 or D4.
