It was a beautiful day. We took a 2 hour trip north to the Kennan, Wi pull. Tractor ran like a top until the 200 foot mark and either the limiter or the power shift started slipping. I’m going to split it again and most likely bolt limiter solid. I felt like my torque limiter rebuild went together really nicely, and it only took one brake stomp to “break it in” and it wouldn’t slip after that until the pull of course. I tested power shift pressures before I pulled. They were all around 210 psi. I am leaning towards the limiter slipping.. I did resurface the flywheel and pressure plate and installed a new four pad clutch with additional springs and spacers. I suspected it might not hold, but I thought I would at least get at least to the 250 mark with all new and compressed components.. at least it looked pretty. Anybody have any suggestions on how I narrow it down to the limiter or the power shift? Back to splitsville I go😩

Make the torque limiter slip - when it does it will kill the hydraulics - pto turning - and steering. IF you put the PTO in with the lever - then slip the torque limiter for a few seconds it will pop the lever out. Or have someone watch the PTO running and slip the clutch - the PTO stays running - it is the tranny - PTO stops it is the torque limiter. Also you can check the clutches out by bringing up to op temp then -with the transmission lube light operational - lower the rpm until the "transmission lube pressure below 1800 RPM" comes on. Rev it up until the light just goes off, them shift thru all the gears. The light should come on, then go back off the same in each gear including reverse. IF the light stays on in certain 'gears' check the clutch pacs for that gear and one will be bad or leaking. Usually there will be two or more gears affected.
