Looking pretty sharp! You've got a nice place to paint it. I have to figure out how I'm going to paint my B next summer.

if its on a stone floor, a guy I know did some of the nicest spray jobs I've ever seen with a stone floor....just buy some clear laquer and dust the floor before about 1/2 an hour before you spray....keeps the dust down.

I agree, you should really consider a mask. But the tractor looks great!

YES!!!
Your too young to not be wearing a good mask. See that orange color when you cough up after the paint job? That's coming from yer lungs! From yer esophagus!
Yes, the job looks great but you got to take care of your lungs! I may sound over bearing here but I know several guys that by the time they got to their 50's they had emphysema and ended up dying from it...took a long time....not a pretty way to go!
Please get a quality mask with replaceable  filters!!!

Benny, Ditto on the mask. I like the idea of the comfortable chair in the first picture. After a day of hard work, you can sit and admire the results. :>) Bob@allisdowneast

Great job on the "45."  Guys are giving good advise about wearing a mask.

Looking good. I got a really nice mask that protects from the chemicals including the paint at NAPA. Those chemicals can cause allergic reactions to flare up out of nowhere if you've been exposed enough. Do him a favor and pick one up for him.

One of the nicest looking paint jobs I've seen posted here.

Did anyone mention that your BIL needs a mask? That is some pretty nasty stuff you guys are breathing.

Nice looking WD45 Benny! That is still my favorite AC, even thought I think the D and Hundred series are a lot more useful I'll always have a soft spot for the WD45 I grew up on.

I don't like to preach, it usually falls on deaf ears anyhow, but our story may help someone so here it is. It took my dad 4 years of constant misery including months in the hospital to finally pass away from the effects of COPD. He's been gone since April of '09. It was a terrible thing to endure and nearly as painful to watch. While he had lung issues before, allergy induced asthma, we are convinced that his refusal to consistently wear protection while grinding and sanding on PO#1 and painting his beloved Allis tractors is what accelerated the COPD. I'm still very much into the Allis hobby but I have to admit; after his passing and watching him die my enthusiasm for restoring them has waned.

Benny, Is that three bolt front axle mount reinforced at the pivot pin?  How about some details?

When my buddy brought the front end back from Montana he was going to put it on this tractor as I had sold it to him....well after it still hadnt left my shop after 4 months I bought it back with the front....the front pivot hole was egged out pretty bad so he had cut the back piece off of it, drilled out a new one that was tight and welded it on....the front end is surprisingly tight. Otherwise I believe the front is pretty much original...what else do you want to know?

Benny,  I can assure you that the WD-45 was NEVER, NEVER, painted that well new.  An outstanding Paint Job.
Look forward to seeing the finished tractor.
Good Luck!
