I’m working on an Allice Chalmer G and three of the spark plugs are threaded directly into the head and one a spark plugs has a threaded spacer on it I have seen some pictures with them on it and some with them not are they needed and if they’re not needed what plug do I run?
Thanks Warren

normally the spacer is added for one of two reasons...

possibly .... Original threads in the head are bad so they loctite in a spacer permanent. then put the plug in it...

the MAIN REASON .....If the engine burns oil and fouls a spark plug, putting the spacer in , moves the plug out slightly and may keep it from fouling as often.. possibly never.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Autolite 295 for the plug, you can use a 303 if you feel the need for a hotter plug
