Found this tiller this past week and was not sure if it was an AC tiller or not. It has a tag, but I could not read it at all.

I looks to be in good shape. Last known to work some years ago. If anyone is interested in it, it is located central Nebraska.

I think it is a Howard Rotavator.

Look at the tines, in both links.  Rice paddy bolo tines above, along with the depth set wheels still makes me think Kubota rice paddy tiller...Wink

I would have never guessed what it was for. The tines are a bit thinner compared to others I have seen.

If so, not sure it would hold up in our soil here.

Thank you!

Will do OK in soil with lots of OM, already loosened by primary tillage, but not for hard soil or packed clay.  I'd almost bet that thing came over on a used Kubota from the Japanese domestic market, some of them tractors had 4x quad range trannies, could move so slow, you'd think a snail was a racecar...Wink

Being near 2 major vegetable growing valleys here in California Howard rototiller's were big from the 70's on. Don't know that I have ever heard of Kabota  tiller.

Interesting, didn't know that Howard sold their Rotovators/ Rototillers in the US (I'm in the UK, Howard had a factory just outside London).  Their livery is a pretty close match for A-C Persian Orange as well.

The Howard Rotovators were quite popular in our area LONG before I ever heard of Kubota.
