I'm working on an Allis Chalmers 720. Has an Onan CCK engine. CCK is the prefix of the model# on it anyhow and I think that's how you refer to them. I'm hearing Onan parts are really hard to come by anymore. I have a chance for an Onan generator engine for $50.

There's a 4B in front of the CCK but would there be enough interchangeable parts to make it worth while? Cylinder heads, pistons, con rods etc? I can't read much else on the data tag.

The engine on my tractor is CCK MS-2733J

Most of those genreator engines don't have oil filters.
The CCKB-MS are rated at 20 hp @ 3600 rpm that genset engine is governed at 1800 rpm you would have to adjust the governer to get your needed HP. That generator may only be rated at 16 hp.

Not sure with is wrong with yours, but there are overhaul kits still available.
I am currently rebuilding one of mine.

I have a 916H Garden Tractor and tiller for sale. I need to know where I can advertise this tractor. I can't seem to post after I registered.

Gotcha. Mine runs fine but the charging system is only putting out only 5.5VDC so I wondered if the stator and regulator on something like this would interchange. Also sometimes my starter motor doesn't want to engage the flywheel properly. I got the tractor after it sat for over a decade so I figure I can clean the starter up and have it work properly. Mainly just looking for any cheap spare parts I can get hold of.
