I believe I have found the correct injection pump drive shaft for the 220. It is stamped with the number 16063. This engine had a DB pump with tang drive shaft in it and I've been searching parts to get the correct setup. There is a difference in the depth of the hole for the thrust button and spring between the tang shaft and splined shaft. Button and spring I took out has a combined length of 2.055. When set in the shaft, the button sits around .110 deeper in the splined shaft.
There is no number on the button. How far should the button protrude from the end of the shaft? If it is correct for the tang shaft, can I machine a spacer to put down in the splined shaft to bring it up to proper height?

What you cannot have is a bottoming out of the spring when you install the cover over the gear. Lay a straight edge against the button and test for this. I guess you'd probably want near max pressure the spring can provide WITHOUT bottoming out.
