I have been thinking about buying an airbag jack (maybe this one or similar):
https://www.vevor.com/pneumatic-car-jack-c_10308/vevor-air-jack-5-ton-11000-lbs-triple-bag-air-jack-airbag-jack-with-six-steel-pipes-lift-up-to-18-5-inch-470-mm-3-5-s-fast-lifting-pneumatic-jack-with-adjustable-handle-for-car-garage-repair-p_010582142840" rel="nofollow - VEVOR Air Jack, 5 Ton/11000 lbs Triple Bag Air Jack, Airbag Jack with Six Steel Pipes, Lift up to 18.5 inch/470 mm, 3-5 s Fast Lifting Pneumatic Jack, with Adjustable Handle for Car, Garage, Repair | VEVOR US

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations about air jacks (not pneumatic hydraulic jack)?

Not had experience of them, but have seen a few guys on the youtubes using them (and not the kinda fellas to do a shill promo vidya either) and heard nothing but good things. Same goes for Vevor kit in general actually.

For the amount of jacking off  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4zI4JpMfks" rel="nofollow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4zI4JpMfks  I do, I'll stick with my old hydraulic ones until they're wasted. May consider one when the time comes though.

I use one to turn my atv sideways in my toy hauler. I set it on a lazysusan I made to turn.

Works well but any perpendicular movement is hard on them. Inside is a series of cups that slide together when releasing the air and going down.
I imagine they are not very robust.
I need to modify some bracing.

My thoughts would be how much lateral movement can it tolerate? One could bump on the side of that bag with something sharp, and it’s game over.

That could start a whole another topic, why are there so many ads everywhere you look anymore. Can't read a single news article without interruption midway through. Sorry, just had to vent. Thanks AI...not

When saying air jack - way back use to have one in shop I worked in back in high school .
Was a 8" or so round cylinder with arms attached and a rolling platform under it . Hooked onto shop air and it was like a air powered bumper jack . It had a safety pawl that locked into base as cylinder raised .
Seems a lot safer than a airbag type unit for general use .
