| Hey guys! My starter motor went on my 185. I pulled it apart and cleaned it up but no luck. It’s a Lucas and I heard they aren’t as good as the Delco starters so I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for a replacement starter? Thanks! |

That's a good price on a rebuilt starter. I remember paying close to that 40 years ago to a local rebuilder.

You can also go to a new "gear reduction" starter. NipponDenso # 028000-6780.
