Looks like one of those things,, where more is better. I'd use the biggest hp tractor I had with the 1000 pto...

Agreed. 150 HP would be better than 100 HP. I've not been around that particular model, but those I have been around have a governor on the hopper, so if the engine pulls down too much the hopper stops rotating to give the engine time to catch up.

We have a huge hog farmer in the area. My salesman has a 7060 and a tub grinder he was demoing - grinding Skittles and candybars for the energy in the ration - he feeds out of date dog chow in the ration as well .  After about 15 minutes the tractor overheated. He shut it down and looked at the radiator. It was covered with chocolate! A huge hershey bar had melted into the radiator from all the sugar 'dust'. Took a hot water pressure washer to clean - what a mess. Doesn't have anything to do with this post- just a funny story - except don't grind candy inside a building.. :-)  ...
