Hey Everyone, Had a question on my ac 190xt. I was feeding a hay bale and the tractor suddenly started pushing hydraulic fluid out of the steering column. My 190xt has a cab and in order to remove the hood you would need to remove the cab. How hard of a fix is it to stop the leak?. Is it just a Oring or?
Thanks

We had a 190xt. Started it up after lunchone day and fluid started pouring out of the steering collumn. Got the mechanic out to it started it wasnt doing it any more. Never did that again. Go figure

Quad seal on the steering orbitrol needs replacing. Hood has to come off I think I could do one without disconnecting the four hydraulic hoses from it. Only remove the end cap and replace the quad seal and anything else right there. Do NOT disassemble any further than the end cap plate. Seal kit from AGCO and some parts you won't use.

Not sure what kind of cab you have but I had a Laporte cab and I took off the top steering cover, then I took off the exhaust stack and the air pre-filter stack, took off the nose grill, and was able to remove the hood without removing the cab or even loosening it up.

I've never had to remove a cab either. Sometimes the hood can be slid forward a couple of inches and drop down at the rear and then up and forward with the front of the hood. Exhaust pipe and instrument panel get removed first.

The last one that I did,I was able to get the 4 bolts out that hold the orbitrol to the steering column. I then swung the orbitrol down and out the right hand side. I obviously had to remove the right side panel, but I did leave all of the hoses attached.

Very likely a steering hose.

A steering hose doesn't pump oil up thru the steering column onto your lap.

Folks are often very vague about leaks. Just pointing at an area to check.
