As far as I'm concerned, Good riddance to Poor customer relations. The one time I went into the store local to me they acted like since I wasn't one of there 100K/Yr customers, they couldn't be bothered with small time walk-in customers.
Anything they would have, I can get from McMaster Carr or MSC and it will be at my door the next day and I don't have to deal with snotty A$$ wipes that need to learn their manners.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

I have a great local store, the lady at the front counter knows her stuff.

If I need some odd screw/bolt for a pop machine or pinball machine I am working on they probably have it. Price is much, much cheaper than the local ACE hardware store for individual pieces along with a better selection.

Prices for other items? Yeah, probably worth the money in gas to drive to the other side of town to Menards.

Son has shipped a few things through them for his skid loader attachments
MYSELF - when they said they had heilacoils I needed , then checked and said they could have them in 2 days - Charged me $14 shipping for sending them by post - flat pack - would have said KEEP THEM but I had to prepay for the parts in store before they would commit to getting them in .
Last time i went near the place - kind of 1 finger salute when I drive by

Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

As to Fastenall, I'm not impressed! They are THE supplier where I work. Pretty good at stocking earplugs and gloves. Anchor bolts? Who needs anchor bolts? I've been bitching about our lack of them for months! They never fill the drawer. I just keep telling myself, 16 months to go.....

They have a "vending machine" out on the plant floor where I work. Despite plant policy that you need to be wearing PPEs (hairnet, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, bump cap, etc...) when out in the plant, the lady that stocks the machine will throw on bump cap and call it good. One time she was even wearing sandals! Plus she doesn't do the contractor "check in" by the shop entrance door. I have filled out multiple "safety alerts" on this but no one seems to care at the management level.

Sometimes we get waves of spam, ways to tell include a low post count, frequent short posts, links in the posts that don't apply to the subject of the thread, there are others I may be missing, but you get the drift...

I'll give Phil the benefit of the doubt, the other guy did post a few short posts, but nothing really telling me he was a spammer...Wink
