Anybody know where to get latches like the ones used to hold the hood sides on the 7000 series ACs , or does anyone know the name of the latch type? Thanks

Cowkicker, Here’s a few weblinks I saw from my internet search for these latches. It seems the original AGCO PART NUMBER was 70228799. I know nothing about any part’s quality or seller info.

AGCO Agcopartsbook.com subs original part # to 962975. For AGCO parts book pricing, I see your PM list your location as KY, so I picked a Kentucky AGCO dealership about 82 miles from Frankfort??
For this agcopartsbook directory weblink page for an AC 7010, please scroll down & choose/click page 124 (sheet metal). Once 124 opens & you should see all hood panels. Ok then on that same hood panel page, scroll up & choose/click on “parts list” icon. Choose/click on part 4 to view latch, price, availability, sub#, etc. https://parts.agcocorp.com/us/en/apbsearch?q=agcoallis/79005649/l&name=7010+TRACTOR" rel="nofollow - https://parts.agcocorp.com/us/en/apbsearch?q=agcoallis/79005649/l&name=7010+TRACTOR

Okay, thanks, will get a couple ordered. Didnt think about checking with Agco as the 7000 series are welded from the factory.

Grind the little pivot rivet head off and punch it out. Do the same with the new one and put it onto the welded piece with a cotter key or roll pin. That way, you don't have to grind off the welded piece and mess up your hood.
