Growing up it always seemed like the rolls would always get burnt at Thanksgiving. Always so much going on with the last minute preparations. Years later my family meets with another close family during Thanksgiving. Yep seems like the rolls still get burnt. It has gotten to the point that until the rolls get burnt ,it doesn't feel like Thanksgiving. As soon as it happens I declare that Thanksgiving is finally here and we can all celebrate. My sister one year overheard something about not burning the rolls, so she snuck over to th the stove and turned it up . She has always had my back . I love Thanksgiving, best holiday in that all that is required is food, cooking and eating. Happy Thanksgiving and burn some rolls.

Guess I am getting old. Granddaughter hosted Thanksgiving at her house this year but I was still the one that had to smoke the turkeys. No burnt rolls though.

Traditions, a big part family gatherings. So if it takes burned rolls, you have a wonderful sister to help you. Just cover in gravy. What burned roll.
This dang old age stuff. I ate about a 1/4 of what I use to but 5 hours latter I am still too full to want pie yet.

Ray your right, ate dinner and had a piece of apple pie and a little cherry cheesecake. A few hours later thought I was ready for a slice of pumpkin pie. It went down pretty slow.

I didn't have any burnt rolls, but I'd like to wish ALL you wonderful people a Happy Thanksgiving (albeit a day late). I have plenty to be thankful for and I wish my bride would have been here to enjoy the day with me. Instead, I had to go to the nursing home for her. We had a lovely dinner, complete with turkey, mashed spuds, stuffing and an unburnt roll w/butter. My 2nd oldest grandson usually has this holiday and I missed it this year, for the first time in years.... He's a great cook, as he learned from the best, me..... May blessings come your way,,,,,,,,,,,Ted

OMG, wife burned the rolls yesterday. New to her stove at in laws, we all got a good laugh out of it.
Never thought about rolls too much, always stuffed my self with the other food, no room for rolls.
