My spayed Border Collie got picked up yesterday by Animal Control .
So this AM I went to bail her out . Held 30 miles from here .
Kennel that had her overnight charged $100 for the service
Now i find out the vet who was suppose to have chipped her never did that service.
Next the paperwork said she was picked up 6 miles from here (as the crow flies) at a Regional Park
now she would have had to cross freeway , traveled across 4 heavy traffic roads and walked 2 miles to one of those roads before the 6 miles to park
Just glad she is back but makes me wonder how she got that far by herself and how animal control ended up with her .

Would suspect got picked up by a stranger and would not settle down so dumped where found. Have had several passers by that ‘picked up Abandoned puppies’ not notjng a collar or tag and ran off with neighbors free roam dogs.

Glad you got her back safely. Don’t you love it when you get charged for a service that isn’t performed.

Cloudy, my cat ,has a TRACTIVE GPS collar on him. BEST money I've spent in decades !!!
If you have a smart phone you can do real time tracking and such. It's kinda neat + scary to see how FAR Cloudy travels during one of his 'walkabouts'.

We(actually the Mrs) have a ‘house dog, a purebred Maltese, and 3 indoor cats. The 1 female cat(a calico) was spayed, the other 2 are males(not quite old enough for neutering) are brothers, jet black with green/yellow eyes.
Somehow the cats were declared to be ‘mine’, not sure how that happened but, o well.
The dog never, ever leaves the house unleashed.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Where my house is on 10 acres , neighbor is 12 acres on one side and 8 acres on other , so it's not like not a lot of room to roam or bothering a neighbor . All rural here yet , farm fields and open space .
Yes looking into the GPS tracking chips for her . Least can see where she is when out of site . 500 ft to road in front , and back of property meets another 60 acres of farm and wooded area
