Has anyone had trouble with CA lift arms that get stuck up and wont go down we had one CA that did it a couple of times but seem to work its way out now we have another that is stuck up and wont go down.we cracked a line and got arms to go down but as soon as you put the pto in gear the arms go up again even with the lever in the down position.took the back of the assembly off did not see nothing obvious and also cleaned the top relief valve and put back together still no luck.also took a couple of shims out of that releif valve (what the book said )but did not do anything. thanks  f

You have some FOD in the pump assembly. I've seen it too. I would drain the PTO reservior and see if you have metal. If you do then the pump may need torn down and cleaned out. The slightest particles can jam up the spool assembly in the pump and there is no screen on the pickup. If a bearing or anything fails in the transmission or differential the metal will eventually find its way to the pump.

Try disconnecting the rod that comes up from the snap coupler and rotate that shaft manually....worked for me....

Sounds like the spool has some junk in it. Screw the screw on the front of the pump all of the way in and the arms should go down. Then screw it back out and it should work normally again.

Right on Chris!!! If that don't work then you have to work on the pump.
Drian the oil first as suggested above.  Then do the screw in the front of the pump.
Let us know how it goes.
Good Luck!

My D-12 (Series II) will do that too.  When it does it generally means that something is out of wack in the traction booster linkage.
