I have been working on a problem with the clutch on my IB not disengaging. Some of you offered advice before.  I have double checked everything.  I bought another bushing to make certain that it slides easily on the input shaft which it does. It's the same dimension as the one in the flywheel.  The flywheel slides into the shaft and turns easily.  I've polished the shaft end with 600 grit to make sure there is no burr.   The clutch disk slides on the spline easily. There is plenty of travel in the pedal to move the pressure plate fingers the 3/8" necessary. I'm about to reasemble everything and have ordered a tube of SACHS spline grease.   Have any of you used this or similar products and have suggestions? Thanks.

one thing that can happen is the  WICK in the crankshaft -- lubes the bearing area.. can allow excess oil to get on the clutch plates and they DRAG when you push in the pedal.. You have the plates seperated, but the OIL is causing a STICK or DRAG... If the clutch was OIL SOAKED that could be possible problem.. Wash off the clutch with  liquid soap and water and make sure all the oil is gone......... IF you had oil on the parts..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

It's a new clutch disk, and pressure plate and the bushing is a new oilite bushing.
