Got a chuckle out of this thread:

the funny quote:

"One last thing, AC purists are a strange bunch,
They will stop their cars, trespass on your property,
bother you working just to tell you how much you have ruined
a rusty old tractor that wasnt running anyway"...

I'd have to agree, with one minor exception: It's Not "tell you how much you have ruined a rusty old tractor that wasnt running anyway", its "How much do you want for that rusty old tractor that you ruined and isnt running anyway?"

Isn't pointing out flaws a purchasing technique used to lower asking price? Pretty standard practice across the board. You should have heard the guy who bought my Blazer. I was asking $700 for a working 4x4 full size blazer I paid $500 for a year earlier. He went over every nut and bolt and "talked me down" to $600. The laugh was worth $100!

How about this guy, "We (brothers and I) still use our WD to pull corn wagons and things like that, it was bought new by my father in 1960, but it's a '59 model. I still remember the truck delivering the tractor new, we thought it was the most fantastic tractor we'd ever seen." I wish I could find a 1959WD out there. They must be worth big money since they quit building WD's back about 6 years before that.
