Will A Massey Ferguson 3.9 diesel work in an Allis Chalmers 175 diesel ?

You're thinking because they're similar Perkins engines they may interchange? I don't believe so. I'm no expert and haven't looked into it myself, but I know it's been discussed a few times on here before. See this thread:
