Hi The manuel says thaht the hydraulic pump pressure is 3200 lbs ( 220 bars) ; It seems a little bit high. On mine with the pressure gauge i have 1740 lbs ( 120 bars) at iddle and 2030 lbs ( 140 bars) at high engine rpm. Do you have the real pressure take with a pressure gauge on the tractor?

Dave has got it right. Pump Overhaul in the Allis Service Manual for 'B' and 'C' states Relief Valve should operate at 3200 psi. Gary |

A service manual is needed. It will explain how and where to adjust the maximum pressure and it also cautions not to go beyond a specific measurement. If the proper pressure can not be achieved a total rebuild is needed. ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. old systems were over 3200 psi... NEW hydraulic systems run about 2200 psi.. It MIGHT be that someone dropped the pressure to work with new hydraulic cylinder / implements.. Lower pressure is not a problem unless you cant LIFT what ever you are using as an implement.
 PUSH #9 plug DOWN to 9/16 inch..  ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

 Do you know where i could find a rebuild kit?I need also control lever spring ( item 18) reference 702113801, but in can't find it anywhere. It seems that it is the same pump than Allis Chalmers D272? Do you know if it is the same? Same pressure also? ( as D272 is more recent may be as you told Steve pressure is lower?) |

Hi To have correct pressure i understand that we need to adjust the top insert (9) at 9/16 inch. How i can do that? Only by pressing on the top insert? There is no thread? The insert is only maintain in position by a tight fit between the insert and the hole?

Hi Today, I completely disassembled my pump. The plungers seems to be in good condition I found the relief valve spring which is very deformed and can no longer fulfill its regulation function. I think my problem comes from this spring part n° 70211403 ( 211403) What are the exact size , length, OD, ID, diameter wire? So I am looking for a new spring that would be suitable as a replacement. Not easy to found. May be the spring is on other tractor model?

John... im not sure anyone is going to be able to help you with PARTS or a REBUILD KIT.. Not sure those things exist. Most guys just disassemble, clean and reassemble.. IF your missing parts, your only choice might be purchasing another pump to use as parts, or trying a "hardware store spring" and see what happens............. sorry. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

There are some pumps listed on E-Bay. Someone that has a pump their parting maybe willing to remove the spring and ship it to you. If you have some calipers, you can try to get a ruff estimate on what size your spring was and go to this website McMaster-Carr.
