Pretty sure this is not a real boy, and if it's AI, not a lot of I!
Wish Darin would zap the account.

Would've thought so too, action seemed to be taken pretty swiftly against "my" scammer Brandonrich & I've reported Scotts' messages a good few times now. I guess they can slip under the radar if there's a lot to weed out though.

Sure looks like it, half-hearted attempts to gain credibility by resurrecting ancient posts with generic replies does seem to be a current "hallmark"...  It's a shame my idea of "baiting" with WTB's for non-existent parts was frowned upon as that was fairly quick at outing them.

*I can see the point that classifieds ought to be strictly serious/business but honestly, given the amount of spam/scammers posting/messaging through that forum currently, I can't see the harm of an obviously (to a real, human, AC guy at least!) fake wanted ad in order to quickly weed out the bad accounts.

Dan... i agree with you 100%... NOTHING is that serious... Classifieds are same as everything else.. If one cant Laugh at some of the posts, they are wound too tight !

It is going to take a lot more than a  joke / laugh to piss me off... I got more important things to worry about !!

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Steve Big smile I did lose my original reply due to laptop battery being silly but in short-:

One thing I might suggest in the forum support area is the addition of a sticky post in the classifieds regarding common scams/phishing techniques and maybe warning against clicking unverified links or dealing "off-site" as far as the "my friend at name@email.com" method when it comes to newer members/low post counts with little relevant AC commentary.

It could make things more difficult for the few folks who do genuinely have some stash they uncovered in grandpa's barn etc & join specifically to find good homes for their equipment/parts without having much understanding/interest in the actual machines but those kind of instances are probably quite uncommon & with a little dialogue can be worked out fairly simply.
