The last time I had my 8030 running was in the early spring. Started and ran good at 40 degree temperatures.
It sat until a few days ago. The batteries were weak, so I left it on the charger over night. Yesterday (75 degrees) I got it to start. It cranked over pretty quick, but was slow to fire and coughed and sputtered for a good 20 seconds before eventually getting to low idle. I let it run outside for around 20 minutes, sounded good throughout the throttle range.
I put it back in the shed, shut it off and tried to restart. Wouldn't go. It cranked until the batteries were dead, no fire. Has a new air filter, so I am thinking it's a fuel issue. The electric pump does make its usual sound when you turn the key on.
Any ideas what it could be? I haven't done any trouble shooting yet. Just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar problem.

If it has a electric fuel pump id crack the line going in the injection pump and switch the key on and make sure theres plenty of flow

To my knowledge electric fuel pumps are a "farmer fix" when the cam ring in a roosa-master pump have started going bad.

An electric pump wouldnt help the roosa when the return is plugged from the cam ring and the 8030 doesnt have a roosa anyways. I thought I've seen electric pumps in the parts book before? Maybe im thinking of another tractor.

I had a 8010 with the electric pump. Thought it was factory?
They do fail though, and the tractor won't run if it doesn't pump.

Earlier 8010's had a Stanadyne injection pump and did have an electric pump to feed it. 8030-50-70's had an American Bosch injection pump.

Our 8010 was getting hard to start. The hose barb fitting that screws into the electric pump had come loose so it was losing prime. I noticed a few drops of fuel on the ground when I went to fuel up the tractor, the electric pump is kind of hidden behind the side frame.

Yes, it does have the Bosch pump. The electric pump was on it when I bought it last year. The parts book does not show an electric pump. Could the problem be algae in the tanks or plugged filters?

I guess I'd start by dropping the belly pan and disconnecting the fuel supply hose from the left tank and be sure it gushes out fuel. I've had blockages in that outlet before.
