Im new to the allis world. I got a 1958 d17 series one from a man i looked to as a second dad when he passed away, Dave Fulkerson. He was also a part of this forum. About a week ago i was mowing road ditches with it, and everything worked without a glitch. The following day i cranked the old girl up and raised the mower, and it wouldnt stop trying to raise… i pulled the belly pump cover off to discover metal shavings, and several chunks of… um….. well…… not hydraulic oil…… so, im in central il, and im looking for a series 1 pump. I have found several, but and trying to avoid a 4 hour road trip if i can.. would anyone close to pontiac area happen to have one?

Before anything else, drop the pump, and check out the cam above the pump...

If the pump ate the shaft you are in for some work.
