Nice. I passed on a 3pt adapter at consignment auction today. It was missing the chains, top link bracket, and middle braces

I see D 12 stickers on it. Nicest parts tractor I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing

Not a genuine Allis Chalmers 3pt adapter. Some companies aftermarket knock off.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

OK, I have to know HOW did you decide it wasn't 'true orange' ?

True Allis Chalmers aficionados would see #1 it doesn't have a genuine removable AC snap coupler eye, #2 the lift links are generic shop made items, #3 generic top link mount, #4 looks to be CatII lower link balls, The genuine Allis Chalmers CA,D10/12 adapter will have CatI balls, #5 the cross bar would have a mount for the top link that would be used if it wasn't a PTO implement.

This is a real A-C Cat. 1 3PH adaptor. The top link on this one attaches to the cross bar between the two main arms for use with non PTO equipment.
The top link (beaming tube) on another model made for PTO equipment connects to a bracket on the tractor like any common 3PH.
Fred's after market adaptor appears to be one of the better ones.

A-C also made a Heavy Duty (category 2) adaptor which looks similar but is made of much heavier materials.

This is a real A-C top-link.
Allis calls it a "beaming tube".
Nice fancy hand wheel!
And an original A-C top link bracket made to clamp on the rocker shaft on the WD and WD-45 tractors.

I was getting some of those handwheels made however the degrading quality of the work the foundry was doing as each successive generation took over the business has made me decide I have what I need and it's not worth it to continue getting NLA parts made anymore. Now the great grandsons are running the business and they don't see the need to produce the quality that their great-grandfather was doing, they only have to do better than the Chinese. The handwheels I have will fit right onto a generic CatI toplink.
