| I have a CE engine # 91611 K. Can’t locate a front oil for it. I see seals for later model of the CE engines. The part # in my parts book is 206593. I’ve been looking by putting 70 in front the parts #. No luck. Anybody know know what seal may go in that engine. Have tried part # 70225806. It didn’t fit. Any help is appreciated. I mow with this tractor an grass is growing. |

i think your shaft is 1.500 and the housing bore is 1.938 inch..(1-15/16).... the seal you can get is a 1.942 OD ....... check these out... ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| Thanks Steve for the reply. I’ve tried that size seal . It fits the shaft but not the bore. I measure the bore at 1.922. I’ll measure again to double check later this afternoon. |

i thought the OLD BORE was 1.938 and the NEW BORE was 2.010 inch ?? I will double check for more info.. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

There were 3 different seals used throughout production of the BE/CE engines. Even if you use the serial number on the block, you can not be sure of which seal the engine uses as often parts get updated over the years when doing repairs. This is what I will do with every engine I rebuild, I install a speedi-sleeve over the grooves in the crankshaft and use a modern lip seal instead of the solid rubber or cork ones that come with today's gasket sets. ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

| Thanks guys . Sorry for being slow getting back to y’all. Think my plan moving forward is to purchase a common seal an have a machinist fit it to the timing cover. Paul, there are no return oil groves on the crank Probably not an original crank. Will have to put this project on the back burner. Had a D15 present with an electrical issue. It’s always something. Dale, there have been several guys that bought the NEW seal with the 2.010 OD and had the front cover machined to FIT that seal... ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |
