I’m making a spear for the 500 loader. When making the bracket bores for the pin anybody got an idea for the diameter? It’s a 1” pin. I measured an old lightly used allis bucket at 1.02”. Some pins I measured were an 1” or even a few thou over an 1”.

Anybody got advice? Thinking of going 1 1/64” drill bit.

I machine parts for tongs and lifting devices quite often, and .015 is the common clearance.

When I built a quick attach for my WD45I used a die grinder and just got them to fit.
It keeps the slop out of it.
