Hopefully planting season is complete for everyone, got me wondering how many different varieties of corn do you guys/gals plant nowadays?
Back in the day, where I worked, there was probably 30+/- different corn fields we planted every spring(for total of 750 acres)I would say we had at least 10 different varieties and several brands, Pioneer, Spangler, Crow’s, Kaltenberg, were mainstays every year, never recall planting DeKalb, or Northrup King, although the neighbors did. Just curious nowadays, what’s popular.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Plant both gmo and ngmo corn very light on corn acres this year only around 350. Other than a couple bags from a buddy all Renk a very good small family owned company from southern Wisconsin. 5-6 varieties.   Soys 470 acres similar 5-6 varieties.   Try to use exclusively from probox’s so that limits trying a few bags of something.
