Had ‘Trans Oil Filter’ light come on our 8030 PS today. Filter was changed approximately 90 hours ago. Complete fluid change approximately 200 hours ago. 3400 hours on tractor. Oil level fine. What would cause this? Should filter be changed again? Bad sensor?
I should add that it was about 95 degrees out when it came on. It went off on the end rows when we let it sit but eventually stayed on the whole time. We went back to the barn with it. Pulling a Kinze 3500 planter with hydraulic drive.
Also - no change in performance, shifts flawlessly.

Id start with the sensor. Had a engine oil pressure switch go bad on a 8070. Light came on in the field. Shut it down immediately. Put a guage on it and it had great oil pressure. They do fail all of a sudden

Check for the sender wire rubbed through and grounding

Thats a good suggestion. Wire grounding is a real possibility

I’d check your wiring, common issue with the light coming on.
