I met and talked to InjpumpEd today at walnut. I even got to ride around a bit on the mosquito fogger. LOL Thanks for the ride Ed. The last Allis pictured is Ed's. I think there might have been more corn pickers there today than at our Working Fall Show in Joslin last Sept. The last pic is of a sun-dog as I was heading home. My opinion on the pickers, from what I saw, the one row New Idea picked the cleanest corn. The nice looking Oliver and a 560 powered 234 IH did real good too. The IH could really fly though the corn and took it all in. I might have missed a 1/3 of the pickers that were there. Real nice gathering and not enough time to visit.
I'd sure like to get one of my pickers over there next year. Charlie

It was really nice meeting, and visiting with you Charlie. It was my honor to give you a ride on the ole puller. Wish you could have seen it pulling the 3 row picker. Next year. And yes, bring your picker next year! Kevin (hosts the show) just loves poor word choice-Crackers as he calls them! There will be video's on youtube picking, as well as some pulling already there. just search my username dragined. Ed.

If I can get the Flat top done by then , what picker should I bring? The AC35 or the Good ole Wood Brothers. The Wood Brothers would be closer in vintage to the  35 WC.

When I was young we would pick in the morning when it was wet with a IH PR35(I think) then after lunch hook to the Wood Brothers when it was dry. Farmed 350 acres that way, Case 2 row steel wheel to stick it in the ground and a couple 1 rows to get it off. Yeah, we would usually get done around Xmas.

It was a great event!  I was there on Saturday.  I had alot of fun.  I waved at Ed but he was busy hauling loads.  I also got to meet Jeff and J Brown.  I could go on and on about how wonderful the people and show were.  On the way home we stopped and saw the American Pickers store as well as Bill Deppe's.  Will post some pictures later.
