1 for us regular folks, 1 for kalifornia

anyone know WHY the CA tank is smaller ??

Don’t know for sure, but more than likely to conform to some hairbrain CA regulation.

Yes
At the risk of sudden brain implosion I did a little digging. Cali has regs that dictate the emissions and the use of a ventless gas cap. My presumption is the emissions controls reduce engine efficiency and a larger tank is needed for comparable run times. So yes, John Deere has a "California Special"

Probably because JD figured that the average homeowner couldn't afford to put in 4 gals of California gas at one time. LOL

A good guess Wink....................................... but regulators in general just looking for more ways to tick people off. So does it make you happy to stop and add more gas so you can finish the job.Big smile
