I'm looking at buying a 5020. Everything is good and works except it will only go into High and Low. Medium will not engage. Anyone familiar with this problem? Should I stay away from this tractor or can I just run it in high/low without problem?

Parts are near impossible to find.  Are you looking at buying it because it's cheap?  It's cheap for a reason.  Run away.  Many better choices out there.

That's how I'm starting to feel about it. Maybe I'll recommend he post it here for parts if nothing else.

at SN 2691 there was a creeper gear range installed.   'Medium" if above that SN would be from about 1.0 - 2.5 mph and high from there to about 8 MPH - low or creeper would all be below 1 MPH  - per memory... if at high idle in low range 4 th gear you are just above 2MPH you have an 8 speed.

This guy says it high/med/low. I haven't found much info on the 12 speed, so I assume that would be how the 12 speed works. I'm just afraid 4th gear a in low will be too slow and 1st gear in high too fast. Anyway I'm gonna keep looking. Let me know if somebody's interested and I'll pass his info along.

It's 4WD. Check Denver Craigslist Farm and Garden. He just reposted it today. He's asking $5,500
