Hello All.  I am putting my D14 back together and thought maybe I could get away with reusing my head bolts (I know I am not supposed to)  as I am having a hard time sourcing new ones.  However when I was tightening them down, two of them stripped the threads.  So now I am on the hunt.

Can I use  grade 8 bolts?  if not, does anyone have a source for them they can send me a link to?

Grade 8 bolts will be fine if you find the correct length. IFIRR some are on the 1/4" increment, most places only stock the 1/2" increment sizes.
You're lucky that the treads stripped off. Many years ago when reusing old bolts, I've had them break just as I was getting to the final torque. I never reuse head bolts any more.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Be sure to run a bottoming tap down each and EVERY head bolt hole and with compressed air clean them all out good. Wipe some grease on the threads of the head bolts for lube.

thanks for the help guys.  I did clean the threads out with a tap.  I found a match on length and installed them yesterday .
