I have a 8030 and a 2-105 that sit in the back of the shed. My 105 gets about 5 hrs a year on it. The 8030 gets maybe 10-15 hrs a year. Curious what you all think they are worth if I decide to sell. 8030 is 2wd/PS transmission/7000 hrs on tractor/In-frame overhaul around 6000 hrs/Paint is pretty good/windows good/ Recent cab kit/ Brand new rear tires (not installed yet/everything works as it should/ has fuel leak from injection pump that I will have fixed. 105 has 5000 hrs/ everything works/ new hydr pump a couple hours ago (upgraded to the higher output)/ tires real good. Paint is ok. LED lights all around. I don't think it needs anything. Cab kit is ok, tear in seat, but overall, good tractors. Both for the most part are always stored in the shed. Few oil leaks. I worked hard on the 105 last year as it leaked everywhere and think I pretty much got them. 8030 really doesn't take any oil. When I was using the 105 more, maybe a quart here and there, but nothing serious. Thoughts on value. I'm looking at another tractor and thinking I got too many tractors already and get rid of 2 and buy 1. I know I will miss these someday.  And I just flat out of room and pain to leave stuff outside all winter working on projects.

I'd jus sell 1,, then ya jus have one....unless your lookin to up-date/up-grade to a newer model... armchair appraisers will be all over,, location will make a difference too I would look at past on-line auctions,tractor house,etc. and get a ball-park, then, advertise locally, on-line(here) FB, CL, for YOUR asking price,, make sure to allow a little wiggle room. Good luck...

The new hyd. pump on the 2-105 is a big bonus: That was the weak point on the 2-85 and 105 (and it was a pretty massive weak point). Any of them with the original pumps are just ticking time bombs. Hopefully the compensator and relief valves were gone through and tuned up when the new pump went on, or else it might not last long either. Whatever goofball at White decided to put a Vickers PV variable-displacement pump on an ag tractor needed his arse rent asunder. The new pump and working O/U would push its value to at least $10-12k CAD here, probably more if you can find someone who appreciates what a bonus the new pump is. Possibly a lot more, depending on your area. Don't put too much store by the auction and 'MarketBook' type of sites. Some of the tractors on there seem really cheap, but then you call the dealer and it turns out they're barely running. Some of the prices seem really high, but then you do some digging and find out they've been trying to sell the same tractor for that price for years with no luck.

| Ya, got 9 tractors and not sure my count is correct without walking thru the sheds. No I have 10 thinking about it with a 11th one probably coming. I know there are 3 combines and my R50 also is going to go. Another perfect example, put a head on and hit the field with the machine as it is in really good shape, but just takes up too much room and will only use if my 62's go down. Read somewhere that tractors are like guns, if you can count how many you got, you don't have enough. LOL. I need a lean to on my shop and a another building and that should free up my 40x60 shop. For the pump, had a pressure gauge on to set the compensator and added a shim to get the relief valve pressure correct. I did the work, but a sharp old white mechanic at the dealer worked with me to ensure I had correct pressures. I had a heck of a time finding a pump and more so I could find the updated pump, but not an adapter kit. Robinson Implement in Iowa fixed me up for the adapter kit luckily. |

I'd be curious to know what adapter kit you got (and I bet a lot of other folks would be too). There are a lot of 85's and 105's sitting in fence rows or scrapped because the pumps go bad, and trying to find a replacement pump (without having to spend double the cost of the tractor) can be strugglesome. Those tractors are pretty much useless once the pumps go.

| HERRS machine out of Kansas had a new pump. I'm going off year old memory here too. But it was a little higher output. It mounted just fine, but needed a kit to adapt the connections over and think a small line got a plug. 1st call to HERRS and they were looking for a pump. After a 2nd call to him to see if they could rebuilt my old pump (they can't get a kit) he said I can get you the newer style pump, but can't find a kit to adapt it. I said, well at Robinson, they have a kit, but can't find a new style pump. He said call them and verify this part number and if so, immediately head there and get it. He couldn't believe they had a kit as he was looking for them also. So yes you can update to a later style pump. Mine is roughly a 1978 if that matters. Not sure on them thru the years. |

Also think I was about $2500-3000 for the pump and kit. HERRS had them direct ship it to me. So you don't have to travel 3 days to get it seeing you are from up north. If you google white 2-105 conversion kit, there is some info out there on that. Again from memory, my neighbors 2-110 has the same newer style pump on it. Remember crawling under one of his whites to look to see what the difference was when I was figuring this out. |
