Started my Allis Chalmers B Lowrider project. The rear is completed now onto the front. I need the front steering arm low as possible cause my B is a handcrank only. I see the way to do it from others on here.

Could anyone tell me the bolt size on top of the spindles?

Looks like using that bolt with washers will work for me. I need to run a tap into the hole first to clean it up

Thanks in advance

Your talking about the lock bolt that holds the steering arm to the spindle ?  .. Its a standard Coarse Thread Bolt.... Im thinking 1/2 inch ?? The bolt is tapered on the end and screws into a shallow hole in the spindle so it can not rotate... No washers.. there is a nut on the bolt to lock it in place.

The hole is on the top of the shaft. In this picture on top of the shaft is a bolt and washer.

OK... i see what your talking about now.. The spindle is right side up and NORMALLY the ARM is on the TOP to hold it in place... On this tractor, the ARM is slide over the spindle, then slid into the tube and needs something ON THE TOP to retain it... so the TAPPED a hole and put a bolt and washer... There is no hole from the factory.. you can drill and tap whatever you want.. If yours DOES have a hole, someone added that.
