Does anyone know the final drive ratios of the 7030, 7045, 7060 and 7080?  I think they are all the same except the 7080.  I knew at one time but didn't write it down.

7080 are thee slowest and 4 inches wide.    7010-20-30-40 are the same and next fastest.    7045-50-60 are the same and thee fastest.

Do you know the numerical ratio?  For some reason, 5.6:1 sticks in my mind and 6.8:1.

6.57 to 1...........5.60 to 1..........5.41 to 1.......

Thanks.  I love finding information like this.  Final drive ratio is very important.  Sometimes what looks like a weak ring gear and pinion and transmission turns out to be adequate with the right final drive.  A good example is the 190XT that actually used the same ring gear as a D17 but the final drive ratio was much different and took a lot of torque off of it.

A 180/185/190/190XT used the same ring and pinion gear sets AND ratio of 3.89 to 1. The D-17/D-19/170/175 also used the same 3.89 to 1 ratio, but they are NOT the same size gear teeth. These gear sets do NOT interchange.

According to the Agco parts book, the early 190, 190XT has the same part # as a D 17.

AND THOSE ALL FAILED IN XT'S!!  THE XT'S WERE UPDATED. 190'S PRIOR TO S/N 9001 WERE LEFT ALONE.

Yup, a fact not many realized, the ring / pinion from the WD45/D17/D19 and all the way to the first 190 below sn 8250  had 70245766 - it was the part # used in all these puppies.  After Sn 8250 to 8999 they had 70246400 - then after 9000 they had 70247774 that finished out the 190 series until the 4 pinion unit at Sn 23001 which had part # 70253511.   70256619 was used in the 200 - still beefier.   It is interesting to note the spider cross 70260695 was used in the Ser III XT/200/7000 AND the F3 up to early R60 gleaners... must be a Borg Warner connection there. I was told by an early puller decades ago he put a 4 pinion unit from Borg-Warner in his early XT and I thought him be like a tad off - until we ran across these part #'s.  Eh, maybe so.  The differential in the 200 was the same as the 7000 and 70253500 ring gear bolts were the same from the Series III to the last 7000. 70260740 was the 7000 ring gear pinion PN... and none are available OEM BTW...

While on the subject the bull gear in the early proir 9001 - 190's high crop was the same as the D19. The entire final drive for the high clear was the same on the early 190 and the D19.

You wouldn't happen to know the dimension of those ring gear, would you?  I never really heard of any R&Ps going out of even the first 190xts but plenty of differentials.  Maybe when they installed the 4 pinion they changed the R&P also and that is why.  If they used the original R&P and only updated the differential, maybe the R&P would have failed a little later.

The updated/production ring and pinion that fits all 180-185-190-190XT is the same gear teeth size and ratio whether it be for 2 or 4 pinion differentials. The ONLY difference is the pilot hole I.D. inside the ring gear.
