Does anybody know what size and type of fitting the hydraulic hose is coming from the pump to the remote on a D15? I would assume it's the same on all D tractors. It's not NPT, JIC. Pretty sure it's inverted flare, but what size/thread pitch? The stores near me don't have anything in stock that fits it, and I don't want to wait to order something that won't work. I specifically need to go from 3/8" MIP/MPT to whatever that is. I'm adding a selector valve to run my bucket, and the old solid line won't bend right to work, so I want to use a rubber hose. |

most of the "inverted flare" are 1/4 inch pipe thread on the "older" tractors.. I know the B and C used that fitting.... Can you just unscrew the fitting from the valve and replace instead of adapt ?
OOOPS.. i didnt read the 3/8 size... see below ......... i still thing removing all the ODD ball fittings and replacing with PIPE thd if possible would be the way to go..

I believe the JIC and the SAE inverted flare fittings are all fine thread bolt size... 1/2 inch 20 the... etc... you could check with a fine thread bolt.. the ODD BALL would be the 3/8 hose that uses a 11/16 thread..  ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Thanks Steve! It didn't even dawn on me to check thread with a bolt. I was using NPT on everything so it never clicked straight threads would be the same as a bolt. It is a fine pitch so I'm guessing 1/2"-20 Inverted flare. But that's a guess. I'd love to get rid of the odd ball stuff, but I'd actually prefer to stay metal. If I could bend the stock tube to work I'd just use that. Rubber makes my back itch, weather wearing and work wear are just too much to make me comfortable, long term. |

You can go from inverted flare to SAE flare.... not sure i have ever seen a fitting to NPT. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Steve is correct. After two long days searching. This is only inverted flare adapter I've been able to find. However. The local hydraulic company was able to cut off the end of my tube, and crimp it onto a a hose for me. I'll make a separate thread about the overall selector valve for archival purposes. |
