While putting all new parts in my cooling system, all new clutch parts, rear main seal, clean the oil, sump and screen. Is there anything I should prime before start up for the oil? And how would you prime anyhow? I did start it for 15 seconds just to check the clutch and the Oil press Gage was around N at low idle. Thanks. Dana

bearings and all should be WET just like if the tractor set for a month... When you start up after changing the pump, the pressure should come up to "N" in a few seconds.. Apparently you got that so your OK.

If no pressure showed up, you take the tube off from the pump to the filter housing and pump oil in backward into the pump..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

While you were in there it would have also been a good time to have put a rebuild kit in the oil pump, then you'd have the gauge pegged while running.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

the pump only puts on 15 psi WOT when NEW... 10 psi at idle is great... MOST will not have that.

Most all the pumps I rebuild will make 30 PSI when checked against an accurate gauge.

He has a CA which is a BYPASS filter system.. When NEW the pump will put out 15 psi.. A FULL FLOW like the D10 - 12 is different and has more pressure... possibly 25- 30 psi.
