Went and looked at a 7000 today for a sprayer tractor, it’s a 78 but still has the Acusta Cab 1, chassis is black but it’s peeling and it’s maroon underneath. When cold it won’t drive. Tried all 3 powershift speeds, all gears, nothing. Shifter is on the floor. He said they always have to start it in gear then it will move. But it didn’t for me today. It doesn’t grind, just won’t move. After a bit, he jumped in it, shut it off, put it in gear and started it then it drove, powershift worked fine. Also notice 3pt won’t raise and the PTO doesn’t shut off. Any ideas?

By any chance did you check the hydraulic oil level? If the oil level is low it would explain why the 3pt won't work.

What about the power steering?
My red belly 7000 has a dry clutch and will always move even if there is no hyd including the power steering.
IF this is a newer black belly, it uses the power shift as a clutch and needs hyd to move. Since some of the other hyd worked it must have air in the clutch circuit.
Lets wait till the experts confirm.

All ages of 7000 have to have working power steering to move as that same oil locks up the power shift clutches. The fact the hitch or remotes don't work at a slow engine speed is pretty NORMAL. Gotta have power steering and I think your hyd pump lost prime and needs a freshening up.

That’s the only thing I didn’t check was if the steering wheel turned.

I can't imagine the steering not working once you got it to move. It would be pretty helpless without power steering. The hydraulic oil level and fill is behind the batteries on that model. The dipstick at the rear is just for the rear end oil, and the final drive bull gears each have their own oil. The hydraulic filter is also below the batteries and could need serviced. Changing that internal filter would give a good indication of the gear wear, depending on the amount of filings or debris in the filter housing.
