Had someone send me a picture of their WD with rear weights on it that are not the regular AM 2795-10 Allis weights. They say Martinsville Ill WD-D17 on them and are shaped different than the Allis weight. I had never heard of or seen these weights before on a WD/WD45. Were they a common type after market weight made to fit the 28" rim? Thanks, Dave

Common around here. Have 2 sets. Guessing 150lb apiece. Martinsville about 60 miles away. Went to their foundry for field trip in 75. Was young and didn't pay much attention....

Got a couple sets of the heavier ones, 300 lbs. or better. No need for fluid when you double them up. Fit 28 or 30 in. tires. Like Steve mentioned, real common around here.

I've got a pair of locally made ones on my "39 Allis B. Made by Norwood Foundry in Edmonton, Ab., 30 miles away. They're about twice the weight of the common Allis weights. Came with the 'B' when I got it over 25 years ago.
