| The adjuster bolts (3/4 hex) on my XT cant be tightened like they are bottomed out. What needs to be done to lessen the free travel on the pedals? |

Sounds like the pads are bottomed out? Have you removed the cover to inspect them? Wear a mask, nasty stuff in there. I replaced mine several years ago due to that issue. Cleaned the balls and ramps also. I have great brakes now. They are external!!! | You can shorten the brake rods at the front if you want, but your brake linings are probably about shot and you don't want to have a metal to metal situation. $$$$$$. |
