Just bought a 1966 D15 Series II gas with factory 3 point and full hydraulic AC 400 loader.  Apparently, it has never done field work.  Word has it that it was used in the sugar bush for getting maple syrup.  Has some dents in the fneders and gas tank, but the tin is solid.  Runs and drives really nice, just need some maintenance after 44 years.  Loader is near perfect, just needs some cylinders repacked  Perfect timing - I needed a project for this winter!  It should be getting delivered in the next couple of weeks.

Pat, I know you will be real happy with the D15 II, I am quite sure that it should have an oval muffler if it is a Ser. II. Nice machine

Never sold one but it really looks like a very good unit.  Does not look like too much work to bring to show ready or work ready.
Good Find!
Good Luck!

A series 2 should have an oval muffler, and it has to be a series 2 to be a 1966. There are two give aways that it is a series 2. The hole in the sheet metal of the hood looks like it is meant for an oval muffler, and the series 2 had the stickers on the gas tank. The real observation is that it's a NICE machine!

Thats almost too nice an original tractor to repaint/restore. Somebody took good care of it. Nice find.

Plus a nice front end pump for the loader. Its best when they are original like yours, very nice find

Nice tractor and loader also. I notice the loader is missing both the lower and upper cross member braces (goes between L & R uprights). Probably OK but I'd check the side frames for cracks. Could fabricate them, bottom is angle and top flat bar stock.

You are lucky I haven't gone down to my mums yet, and then taken her in to Brockville shopping, or I might have beat you to that D-15.

Don't think I would have paid that much though !

Gary - I didn't pay their asking price.  I made an offer, and they accepted it.

Besides, there is not a nicer D15 with loader than the one you already have!
