I am looking at putting some diamond tread tires on the front of my 7060 and wondered what size would work best. Ive been looking for 16.5x16.1's but didn't know if a 18.4x16.1 would work. thanks

I'm not going to be much help, but a local tire shop should be able to set you in the right direction. I seen a 7060 on an auction a couple of years ago that had some huge diamond treads on the front, I'm not sure what size they were, but they were big to the point that the rims had to of not been factory to take a tire that size. I always have liked the diamond treads on the front of tractors, and have been thinking about putting them on my 190 XT. One memory I have as a kid, is a neighbor that had a 220 AC that was pretty hot, and had some 24.5-32's on the rear, and a good sized set of diamonds on the front. I didn't even like Allis at that time, but thought that tractor looked pretty awesome. Sorry for rambleing without giving any help, Darrel

Looks alot like turf tires. They were popular in the 70's and eightys for use on the front of large two wheel drive tractors, mostly because the larger ribbed tires were'nt as common yet and were more expensive.

be sure to size the tire proper too the size of the rim, trying to squeeze a wide tire on a too narrow of a rim will lead to early tire failure. a good tire shop will ask what width rim you have.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Diamond tread do not help the tractor turn very well.
