As quit the trucking company to get elbows and other ailments worked over, Final Day was hit by a Passing Small Pickup with AL Lic and AL Ins driven by NON Citizen Latino. Come to find out NOT Paying after a full two months, said I was at fault by passing THEM. So argument prevailed, Witness by two other drivers of OTHER Companies and they paid the bill as HE was passing in a No Pass Double Yellow area.
So, as time progressed hear horror stories all too similar, and ONLY if have a Dash Cam that supports call back for a known problem moment can one avoid counter suits. So I Succumbed, read miles of ratings, horror stories there as well and ended up with a Cobra system. The Big truck will have a side/rear view externally, the Wife's car has a second mount as we use that for trips quite often and the pickup will also get one or a suction mount.
Had not ever occurred to me that one would EVER be necessary but in these times have to cover our own butts.

Seems like insanity rules the day. The need for protection is even greater now. So cameras help to validate what just happened

Cobra SC201 Dash cam with a EF HV1 rear view External mount for the KW. Is hard wired so that will be fun to set but doable. MAY get a Rear Window cordless for the cars, bigger money than want to spend unless have to.

Bought mine Direct thru Cobra, a Secondary Sales company Cedar Electronics sent them out. Cobra is having a PRE Black Friday sale currently, a number of Specials with alternative camera setups. Mine is not Top Line nor is it Budget, definitely did not want the No Name brands as their warranty records are not good.

Had a guy at work going thru road rules- etc,, he got cutoff on an overpass- went to court his dash cam showed him going 135 mph- not real smart

The 200 series has the GPS and Heads Up Alerts, no Interior Cam, the better grade and the Interior Rear Cam system has a Interior cam. Went back to OP I fat thumbed 20'1', is a 200. It also transmits into my phone.

I’ve had mine running for about two years now, and it’s already cleared me in two close calls. Just wired it to come on with the ignition and forget it’s there.

I started using a dash cam about 10 years before I retired and now won't drive without one. It doesn't matter what recording device you have, it will be better than nothing. Driving in the DC/Baltimore Metro area was bad 20 years ago, now it's a nightmare and I refuse to go anywhere New Jersey or New York City. Having a video of the stupid things other driver did has saved me more then once.
