I'm looking for a factory cab heater for my 200. Guess factory heat in them is located in the overhead console. If you have anything to help me out, please respond here. Thanks Darrel |

Darrel, Are you looking to repair the OEM unit or do you just need a quick way to have heat in the cab? Mine had the guts of the water control valve fail and no water went thru. Hoses inside cab barely got warm to touch, R&R valve and in an hour the hoses are hot not warm. Does yours have shutoff valves at the engine or in hoses, is it open ? IF just wanting heat for the winter try finding an older combine or anything older with a cab. A lot of them had aftermarket heaters put in, they bolt to the floor and only require the 2 heater hoses and an electrical power wire for 12V or 24V to run the 2 speed fan. You'll want a 12V unit. It'll fit in the right front corner of cab. ASAP had a couple used ones in the building last time I was @ Salem, SD. We had them back in 70's to early 90's in motorgraders, loaders and even added some to truck cabs that had heaters that weren't sufficient. eventually going to remove and scrap the laporte cab on my 200, I think it has heat, seems like there's heater hoses on the tractor. Cab is tweaked from having been laid on it's side, actually he said tow operator tweaked it when setting tractor back upright lol! The rops did it's job that day. there's a couple of windows left but not much else, pretty tough shape. Just looked, nothing in the top of cab. Will still offer the few pieces left before scrap man gets it lol! ------------- 210 "too hot to farm" puller, part of the "insane pumpkin posse". Thanks for responding. Tractor does have an aftermarket heater hanging on the right hand side. It's a different type heater than I've seen before, and is missing the case/shroud/housing, whatever you want to call it. It has two small cores, one on each side, and the fan is in between them. Would definitely keep er warm if all the parts were there for it. Would be open to suggestions on where to locate the missing housing for that. The cores definitely get good and warmed up! I need heat for ND winters; the aftermarket heater would definitely do the trick, reason I am looking for factory, is I like original look, clean up the looks inside, in other words not having aftermarket heater hanging there. Ed, is cab door on yours bent out of shape, or is it a good straight one? My cab door is kind of a mess, and I would like to replace it with a nice one. I would imagine that due to the size and bulkiness of a cab door, shipping from your house to my house would be a killer. Something to keep in mind. Never know when someone would happen to be going from here to there and back again, lol. Stranger things have happened. Something else on the back burner, moving towards the front, is going to be a pump and injectors rebuild for it. I will keep you posted on that. Thanks, Darrel |

Darrel, There are quite a few aftermarket heaters that are in Forklifts that would work for you if you just wanted to get heat in the cab. The best part is, they're small, but put out a good amount of heat. Easy to mount too. I think Everco used to offer a universal cab heater. Pretty simple to hook up to the engine. If you want to get real fancy, you can install an inline hot water shut off valve so you can shut it off in the summer months.
