Can anyone say whether this “deluxe”seat frame is a factory part from a later model tractor, or is it a custom job? I’ve never seen one like it. It’s currently on a 1957 D17…

RedHeeler79 My 0.02 $ CDN worth ....................The seat frame does not look to be similar to any of the D Series seats I have ever seen, although it looks very well designed, and constructed. | Thanks, Leadoff. I think it would be a nice comfortable seat if it was fixed back up. I have a really nice D17 pan seat assembly that i could put on instead… but this one has potential. It has been moved back farther than the original seat mounting holes allow, makes me think its for a later model machine. The suspension looks identical to original pan seat suspension. |

| The suspension always was the same. Pan seat was standard equipment from 1957 til the end of the series 4. OPTIONAL "deluxe" cushion seat was an option on the series 3 and series 4 for sure and maybe during the late series 2 about 1961 ?? Your seat frame is some after-market or homemade unit mounted on the OEM seat suspension. |

| Thanks for the info. I might fix it up, but will probably install the original pan seat that i have, as i clean the old girl back up. |

I remember one of grandpas D17s having a square seat like that. Yours looks like I remember with the side bars. Maybe it was some type of afternarket seat? David |
